Hi! I am a Research Fellow at
Microsoft
Research India, working at the intersection of Healthcare and AI with
Dr. Mohit
Jain. Before this, I graduated with a B.Tech (Hons.) in Computer Science from
IIIT-Hyderabad, where I spent most of my time in
the vision and robotics labs.
Currently I am working at the intersection of healthcare and AI. I find that most medical experts don't speak AI, and most AI
researchers don't speak medicine, and I find that gap a genuinely interesting place to be.
One thread is
MeDxAgent (
arxiv), a multi-agent LLM system for medical consultations: current models are great
at answering questions but not so great at asking them, so we make the system ask follow-ups the way a
physician would, narrowing down a diagnosis one question at a time.
The other is a low-cost, handheld corneal tomographer, since the machines that image the cornea today cost around 20 lakhs and are far too
bulky to reach the people who need them, with the goal of catching conditions like keratoconus early.
Before this, my research was a bit of a tour across domains. At
CVIT, with
Dr. Jawahar C. V. and
Dr. Vinay P. Namboodiri, I
worked on personalizing lip-reading models for Deaf and accented speakers, people who can mouth words
clearly but whose speech is hard to hear, and curated a new dataset to push accessibility for the Deaf
community. At the robotics lab,
RRC, with
Dr. K. Madhava Krishna and
Dr. Arun K. Singh, I built an
end-to-end path planner for self-driving cars that learns to pay attention to only the few vehicles that
actually matter, because tracking everything on the road is expensive and mostly unnecessary. And at the
machine learning lab with
Dr. Charu Sharma and
Dr. Avinash
Sharma, I worked on compressing 3D Gaussian Splatting scenes by exploiting their reflective
symmetries, storing one half and predicting the rest accross multiple symmetries present in a scene.
This work recently got accepted at AAAI 2026 (project page:

When I'm not doing research, I love playing chess. I follow chess tournaments and have a FIDE rating of
1730. I'm part of the IIIT Hyderabad Chess Club and have represented the college in many tournaments.
Think you can beat me?
